Once the topographical and building survey plans as existing have been completed then we can advance the project and produce the plans as proposed. On complex projects there may be various intermediary stage plans prepared for discussion, consultation, and approval before the final plans are produced. These final plans are referred to as 'working' drawings as the builder or contractor and other members of the construction team will 'work' from them. Even on less complicated projects it may be necessary to produce a sketch proposal drawing so you can see an outline of your ideas before producing the working drawings. The working drawings will include all the information required for the builder or contractor to provide a tender or quotation for the work and will be used to construct the project. Before work can commence, these drawing will also : 1...Support the Planning and Building Regulation applications to the local authority . 2...where necessary, be issued to other statuary bodies, for example - the service boards, County Highways, the Fire Prevention Officer, etc., for final ratification. 3...be issued to any other interested parties involved with the project, for example - specialists suppliers or installers. The above is only a very brief guide and further aspects will be covered in more detail at the initial meeting - see Architectural Design. |
